the best plums to grow in Scotland

Writer's picture: John.d.hancox@btinternet.comJohn.d.hancox@btinternet.com

Plums are easy to grow in Scottish gardens, allotments and historically we had a lot of plum trees growing commercially in the Clyde Valley until recently. No-one should miss the joy of eating plums fresh from the tree. My favourites are Early Rivers, Victoria, Gordon Castle, Marjories Seedling, Opal - and we have these on our stocklist.

I may be the Apple Man but I love plums too - these are Victoria which I picked yesterday - Happy days
